Slum Village – ‘The Lost Scrolls’ (20th Anniversary)

It’s Slum Village‘s 20th Anniversary from their 1998 completion date of the exceptional traditional recording “Implausible Vol. 2” which featured Busta Rhymes, Pete Rock, D’Angelo, Kurupt, Q-Tip and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

In honor of this, SV is opening its’ vaults to disclose further relics and misplaced tracks from the unique trio T3, “Baatin”, and Jay Dee. The group began with releasing the primary misplaced gem, “Maintain Tight” feat, Q-Tip. Now followers can get all the undertaking produced by Jay Dee aka J Dilla.

This album showcases 11 misplaced demos and remixes straight from the basement with dates ranging between 1996-1999.These songs have been held tightly till now. Right this moment, the followers get to right here unheard variations of songs and uncommon unreleases, 20 years later.

Slum Village – “Hold Tight” Ft. Q-Tip & J.Dilla

Slum Village’s 20th Anniversary from the 1998 completion date of the exceptional basic recording “Improbable Vol. 2” reveals extra relics from the unique trio T3, “Baatin” & Jay Dee. Beginning with “Maintain Tight” feat Q Tip, a remix by no means launched till now, it was produced by Jay Dee, a.okay.a J Dilla.

“The expertise of listening to those songs, made all of the onerous work price it,” says T3.

After a lot thought, Slum determined to launch the fabric, so followers can hear what has been loved for years (privately) in-house.

“…Listening to the music gave me chills,” say Younger RJ (who joined SV in 2010).

Slum Village is re-emerging with a tour this summer season, honoring this 20 yr launch. The group is now comprised of T3 and Younger RJ and the tour will function particular surprises alongside the best way.
